  • Can I have lip filler injected before or after a lip blush procedure? Will it change the look of my lips?
A lip blushing treatment stays on the lip skin, within the vermillion border. Lip filler before or after having lips blushed will not affect the lip blush results. Make sure to wait 6 weeks in between a lip blush and lip filler service.
  • Can I have Botox after my eyebrows are permanently enhanced?
It is recommended to let the eyebrows heal for one to two weeks before Botox is injected. A brow lift should not significantly alter the shape of a permanent eyebrow.
  • How long should I wait before I can have permanent makeup applied after Botox, injectables, chemical peels or laser treatments?
Generally speaking, it is recommended to wait at least one to two weeks before applying any permanent makeup. It may be necessary to wait a few more weeks after laser resurfacing or chemical peel.
  • How long does permanent makeup last?
Gradual fading can be expected for all micro-pigmentation procedures. This varies among people and is dependent on the specific shade used, aftercare, personal care routine and sun exposure. Most colors last three to five years, although some may not fade for as long as 10 years. Periodic touchups are recommended to maintain the desired look. You can also choose to change colors of your permanent makeup. For instance, a nude lip color can be modified to a peachy pink.
  • How is the specific desired look and shades of coloring determined?
An extensive consultation regarding both the exact contouring and coloring desired will be conducted at arrival based upon colors and shades to best complement your own skin tones, hair color, wardrobe, and lifestyle. Additionally, expected results will be demonstrated by applying a mapped outline on you before implanting the color into the skin.
  • Is the procedure guaranteed?
Once pigment is placed into the skin it cannot be removed unless laser removal is done. Therefore the goal is to provide natural looking results. However, adjustments maybe needed from time to time. An 8 week touch-up is included in the initial price.
  • What kind of healing time is involved? Is any care required after the procedure?
Some swelling and redness can be expected for up to 24 hours following a procedure. A cold compress helps to reduce any swelling. The treated area must be kept clean. No makeup should be applied for several days. Some skin peeling and lightening of the applied color is normal. If any additional adjustments are desired, these will be made during your follow-up appointment. Regular routines usually can be resumed immediately after the procedure. However, tanning or swimming should be avoided for a few days.
  • How long does the procedure take to complete?
The average time required for a procedure is around two hours.
  • Is there any discomfort associated with the procedure?
Highly effective, topical anesthetics are used to reduce discomfort. Typically, patients will report a tickling sensation with little or no discomfort during or after a procedure has been performed. Please be aware when booking a lip procedure, if you have ever had an outbreak of fever blisters at any point, you must consult with your doctor for a prescription of Valtrex or similar product prior to your procedure.
  • Is permanent makeup a safe procedure?
The procedures are performed under sterile conditions, using only disposable needle cartridges with a digitally controlled implantation device. There are no long-term side effects; short-term effects may include some redness, swelling, and tenderness.
  • How are microblading and micropigmentation different?
Micropigmentation and microblading are both popular semi-permanent makeup treatments performed by a professional. Micropigmentation delivers pigment deeper into the skin compared to microblading. The results of micropigmentation last twice as long as microblading. So, while it is still a semi-permanent technique, the results last much longer. Microblading is usually done to enhance the eyebrows and lasts for an average of 1 to 1.5 years. Micropigmentation can be done for the eyebrows, other parts of the face or body and the scalp. It lasts for an average of 3 years. The procedure of micropigmentation is not as painful as microblading and is much less invasive.
  • What is permanent makeup?
It is the micro-implantation of coloring pigments into the skin for aesthetic purposes to enhance, contour, and outline facial features. It is also a valuable procedure for camouflaging scars, burns, skin pigmentation variances caused by vitiligo, correcting some facial irregularities, or to further enhance facial rejuvenation and post-operative treatments.
  • Is permanent makeup similar to tattooing?
It has some of the same qualities, yet it is very different. The techniques, tools, and pigments specifically designed for micro-pigmentation procedures, are very different from tattooing. The instruments used are much more delicate in design to provide natural-looking results.
